Maria first came to stay with us in March 2008.  Since then, working in

conjunction with the court system, the state of Arizona, and a generous

law firm in Phoenix who took on Maria's case pro bono, she has been

able to secure legal resident status.

In June she graduated from Chandler High School.  Currently she is working

part-time at Wendy's and islooking for full-time work while also trying

to determine how she can continue her education and find a place to live on

her own.
